  Scriptural Justification For "New Light"

  (i have wanted to ask this for a long time but i can never post from my phone and rarely get a chance to sit at the computer).

  just wondering ... what is the actual scriptural justification the governing body is using with regards to this new light of only them being the faithful and discreet slave?.

  ie - are they saying something like "based on this original greek word that jesus used", or "when compared with this other scripture", or something along those lines?.

  The leaders ARE men and will not stop the rot. Like all religions born of Abraham, women are seen as lesser and will not be protected by the leaders.

  Not at least until the leaders are women perhaps...but then, many of them seem to perpertrate horrors on their own kind too.

  here is one way that i think the wt is absolutely wrong in it's advice on raising children:.

  in the 1/13 awake they talk about mistakes that parents make with their children.

  It is truly sad to see the path kids go down when nothing they do right is praised, and very rewarding to see a kid literally stand taller when praise is given for the right things.

  Most JWs fail big time as parents because they swap parental love for Watchtower teaching as methodology.

  this weekend was the convention for the southern san francisco bay area.

  it was held at the santa clara convention center in the silicon valley http://www.santaclara.org/conventioncenter/ which is an improvement over the old s.f.

  cow palace which is still used..just not as much.

  So the whole district gets to see these men in a high profile situation, and the Rank and file get comfort in 'knowing' these men must be innocents because the almighty Jehovah would not possibly allow sinners to be giving talks on the program right?

  whoa on the speculation peoples!

  It's kinda getting out of hand in my opinion. And all the JWs will point at this as a great example of what 'apostates' descend to, and perhaps on that they may be right. Why speculate on a news item that nobody but the family and the law is privy to? With the absence of facts provided people make it up. Speculation on a relationship, on the gun, on the type of sex acts committed, his mental state etc etc. for goodness sake people... we have no idea and no business making it up and spreading hearsay.

  The religion is not special as we all know, the people are the same as every other walk of life and the religion shoudn't be the focus. The religion is merely the common thread that put these people in each others lives, it could just have easily been the local indoor bowls club...

  The future.....It just doesn't matter!

  for some odd reason i cannot remember, i recently got to thinking about the future, not retirement or paying off the house kind of future but in particular, the dreaded 'new world order' that is claimed to be plotting the death of 90% of the population, the planned mass sterilization of humanity, viruses in the drinking water, some stones from the 1970s with guidlines for the future, you may well know the stuff of which i speak.. it has been raised before on the forum, and other forums and blogs can be found with many preaching the new age of death to come.

  i wondered if it could really be so, was it really happening?

  are we to be the victims of of the 'elite' as they get named, who want to make us all slaves?

  Yes indeed, when you realize 'god' isn't looking to kill you, and you realize the messy way the world is run is just a repeating pattern, you are able to let it go and just get on with living in your own particular reality.

  by ariella montioctober 22, 2012 | posted in: city council, news, the latest | 0 responsesduring a closed session a month ago raleigh city councilors approved a $150,000 contribution to the christian congregation of jehovahs witnesses convention that will be held next year at the pnc arena.. the city has been contributing money toward the event since it first came to raleigh seven years ago.. this is not new, said city manager russell allen.

  he said the event has been built into the citys annual budget for awhile.. the approval came during a closed session after the regular sept. 18 city council meeting.

  knew quite a few 'crazy's'... all had a background of mental illness and horrid upbringings.

  then again, I believed that an invisble entity that was using me as a testing ground in the battle for his own universal sovereignty issues...

  so, who's crazy?
